The outstanding kitui first lady Hon Edith Mawia Malombe was today laid to rest in colourful ceremony attended by leaders from Kitui county and beyond.
Speakers after Speakers eulogised Madam Edith Mawia as a prominent lawyer who’s contribution in the society touched many lives, the county Diary reports.
Kitui former senator Hon David Musila who is running for Governorship in 2022 also eulogised Madam Edith Mawia as a family friend and called on leaders to back HE Kalonzo Musyoka state house bid.
On his part, Ambassador Kiema Kilonzo called for Unity of purpose in Ukambani ahead of the 2022 General Election, he further asked proponents of different leaders to stop being used by politicians to heckle other leaders, saying leaders are not enemies.
Speaking during the burial, the leaders asked fellows leaders to back HE Kalonzo Musyoka’s State house bid in 2022 general election.
The befitting solemn send off was attended by Enviroment CS Hon Tobiko, former Vp who doubles as the wiper Boss HE Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka.
Musyoka was accompanied by Several wiper Mps and Senator Enoch Wambua, distinguished Senatorial candidate Advocate Wilfred Mati Nyamu, speaker of County assembly Hon George Ndotto, MCA’s among other leaders.
The event was led by Father Jefferson Of kitui Catholic Church.
Kitui Governor Ngilu was accompanied by Several County Executive Members Among them Hon Patrick Koki Musau among other executive members.
