Mueke’s Plans To Castigate Ngilu Thwarted By MCA YAAMU as Kitui’s Economist Mr SAITI Muthui is Laid to Rest

Political backbitting, innuendo and outright rhetoric marked the sidelines of the solemn funeral of of prominent Kitui’s ECONOMIST – The late Mr Saiti Muthui as he was laid to rest at his farm Maseki, Matinyani in Kitui on Monday.

Tears as Prominent Kitui’s ECONOMIST Mr Saiti Muthui who was aged 82 years old – is laid to rest in Matinyani ward, Kitui west sub county.

Mr Paul Saiti Muthui was on Monday laid to rest at his farm Maseki in a tearful buy yet the colourful ceremony which was attended by who is who from Kitui west.

Mr Saiti served as a Provincial Planning Officer in the preceding years; Central Province for 7 years and Rift Valley for 13 years as the Provincial Planning Officer.

Late Saiti was instrumental in coordinating and implementation of projects in the two provinces turning them into Kenya’s breadbasket.

He eventually returned to Nairobi as a Deputy Economist and Head of Planning in the then Ministry of Education, Technology until before retirement in 1996.

From this vantage position, late Saiti was able to understand the challenges and development of of of practical solutions that were needed to meet the pressing needs of the people.

During the funeral, there was a near fracas as the Former Nairobi Deputy Governor Mueke’s plans to castigate Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu at burial was thwarted by area MCA Hon Kitheka leaving the former deputy Governor isolated with chagrin on his face.

The MCA quickly reminded him that before he castigates Governor Ngilu, he needs to show a single person from Kitui he ever helped when he was the Deputy Governor of Nairobi”

The burial was attended by Kitui West Member of Parliament Hon Vethi Nyenze, Kitui workers Union Chairman Mr Stephen Kitheka, former Nairobi Deputy Governor Dr Jonathan Mueke, Eng Vincent Mutua among others.
