Mwingi West Member of parliament hon Charles Nguna joined his colleagues in Trashing the auditor reports saying it lacked basis.
“I can never and will never and have never tested KES1 of CDF , the issue of documentation missing from institutions who receive bursaries and don’t acknowledge through letter doesn’t mean money is stolen !!! ,
The auditor general should be responsible for giving Kenyans accurate and fair information, she’s becoming an alarmist !! MPs are not accountants of CDF neither signatories of CDF accounts , cooked information will only frustrates , depress and annoy Kenyans” Mp Told the Press .
See the reaction of Mps .
Millie othiambo : Is it the audit or bursaries? It’s a waste of time to defend. They love sensationalizing in our audits, it was reported that we gave a none existence boy bursary. Worth I think 20k. It was even in the print media. I personally looked for the boy. Apparently the auditor general was not aware that a luo can have a Muslim name and so presumed it was fake. The boy was living with his grand mother, but the core issue was the wasted time and days looking for the boy.
Mp Steve Mogaka wrote.
Honestly Mps are known to their names and constituency and the bursary money mentioned as 1.2B was remitted to unknown payees. A serious Auditor will trace the money from cradle to grave, HUYO SI AUDITOR at all.
Another mp. Hon Ntarangwi Fairfax. Wrote. The legal mind in the assembly should be instructed to take action against the auditor General on her personal capacity.
Mp Hon Dr Ojiambo Oudo, wrote: Mps have no roles in the administration of CDF, and hence Can not sue if their constituency is adversely mentioned.
Mp Nanok Daniel ; wrote. The finance committee of parliament should deal with the auditor General and her generalization on CDF bursary, she’s setting the public against members of parliament. The way public wish we be hanged publicly .
