Kitui County Assembly speaker, Hon. Kengo Katya on Friday attended the burial of the late Mutuku in Mutha ward, Kitui South.
The late Mutuku was killed in cold blood by the Somali bandits who masquerade as camel herders.
Hon. Kinengo was accompanied by Kitui women Rep, Dr. Irene kasalu, Kitui South Mp, Hon. Rachael kaki Nyamai , Mutha ward MCA, Hon. Dominic Mwamisi, and 6 other MCAs of kitui county assembly.
All the leaders unanimously agreed to jointly fight the insecurity issue and they challenged the National Government to help end this conflict.
The county assembly of kitui under the leadership of Hon Kinengo last week passed a motion aimed at providing a long-lasting solution to this insecurity issue in Kitui County.
Dr. Irene Kasalu said the rampant killing of locals by armed bandits must be stopped once and for all.
As the County Mp, I am committed to ensuring that order and lasting peace are restored in the bandit-prone region, Kasalu added.
The area Mp Dr. Racheal Nyamai Said enough is enough, her people will no longer be Killed by bandits and called on the Government of Kenya to intervene.
Over 48 people in Mutha ward have been killed by armed camel bandits, Mp Nyamai revealed.
the Jubilee legislator assured the residents of the Mutha ward of a permanent solution to peace in the area.
The late Mutuku Mwango leaves behind a widow and one child, may his soul rest in peace.
