KITUI EAST Member of Parliament Hon Nimrod Mbai together with Consituency Development Board has kicked off the Public Participation on the issuance of burseries in Kitui East ahead of the re-opening of schools. the COUNTY DIARY has established.
The Sub locations to be covered today on Monday are Makuka,Twambui ,Malalani,syou,katumbi and Muthungue.
Kitui East constituency has 46 sub locations which is expected to be covered in the next few weeks.
Each sub locational bursary committee has a sub chief of the area as a member and spiritual leader (pastor) .
The team will be left with bursary forms and will be responsible to vet the needy cases in each area for the purpose of transparency and accountability.
The Mp is expected also to address the issues of displaced persons along Tana River boarder.
Speaking to COUNTY DIARY, Hon Mp said he will be requesting the displaced persons to go back to their land because Somali harders must be turned back while security must been beefed up.
Nimrod urged those people making claims over the matter of land in the area to desist from misleading the masses because the matter is being handled by experienced persons from the area.
The team will also be re-opening and inspecting the following schools which was closed due to perianial insecurity in Endau Malalani and kyamatu location.
The schools are;
- Engamba primary school.
- Twambui secondary school.
- Katumbi secondary school.
- Kinane secondary school
- and Imuumba primary school.
The schools have been reconstructed by kitui east Constituency development kitty under the able leadership of Hon Nimrod Mbai.
