Mwingi North Member of Parliament hon Eng Nzengu on Monday paid a courtesy call to the inspector general of police Mr Hillary Mutyambai in his office on the issue pertaining security in Mwingi North.

The new IG who is known as no non-sense man and a man of action promised to handle the matter amicably, this coupled with the fact that he is aware of the perennial insecurity challenge facing Kitui county,The Mp visit to the top security office has elicited hope to the people of Mwingi North, we can only expect decisive action(s) on banditry menace.

When Philip Kilonzo was Police Commissioner we saw the establishment of Usueni, Kaningo, Masyungwa, and Ngomeni security apparatus and personnel – courtesy of the former Vice President HE Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka’s efforts;

The same is expected to be repeated and taken a step higher in view of handling the matter and circumstances! It’s a step in the right direction to end the perennial bandit attacks in Mwingi North, Kitui east and parts of Kitui south.
