Kitui Central Member of Parliament Dr Makali Mulu who is serving his third term in office has officially said he will not defend his Mp seat from 2027.
The Wiper parliamentary caucus chairman Dr. Makali Mulu has said he will be going for the Kitui Gubernatorial seat in the 2027 general election, the TCD digital reports.
Makali was speaking when he attended the burial celebration of the late Regina Muindi John who was laid to rest in a colorful send-off ceremony that was attended by who is who in Kitui County.
Regina was a grand Mother to widespread Dubai-based businessman Mr. Augistus Kyalo Muli.Mwingi West Member of Parliament Hon Charles Nguna, Hon Bonnie Musambi, and Katee Ndana were among the leaders who observed the burial ceremony at Kwa Ngindu Primary School, in Kitui Central sub-County.
Kitui Township Member of County Assembly Hon Daniel Ngoima, Nominated MCA Charity Sammy, and a host of local leaders attended the burial ceremony.
The late Regina Muindi John
Mrs. Regina Muindi John was born in Mui Sub County, Kitui County in 1933. She was the daughter of the late
Mutambuki.
Kitui Women representative Dr. Irene Kasal, and Kitui Senator Wambua are among the leaders who have declared interest in succeeding Dr. Julius Makau Makau Malombe after 2027.
