Mp Kaki NYAMAI lauds, NGILU & Police for Swift action on Camels


The Police in Kitui county led by county commissioner Have continued to win banquets of praise and accolades from Kitui Governor HE Charity Ngilu, kitui south Member of Parliament Hon Dr Rachael Kaki Nyamai and the residents, the COUNTY DIARY has Established.

On, Tuesday, 15th, Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu dispatched the Minister for Tourism,sports and Culture Mr Patrick Koki Musau who doubles as Ag CECM for Environment and Natural Resources to Kitui South, where he had talks with Mutomo DCC Mr Ronald Enyakasi On the controversial camel transportation permit.

During the meeting with Mutomo Deputy County Commissioner, it was agreed that camels should be prevented from passing to Mutha and be taken back to wardena, Tana river county, the Minister Told COUNTY DIARY editor.

The County Government Of Kitui in consultation with DCC agreed the purported permit be cancelled forthwith, the Governor ordered any County Government permit shall only be issued if they’re transporting with a vehicle, Koki Musau told Press.

On Wednesday, 16th, July 2020, the police stopped herd of camels which is alleged to be coming on the guise of being transported on foot to Namanga Kajiado county using Mutha road on foot.

The mp last week said the herds of camels will not be allowed to pass on foot through Mutha to wherever unless they are escorted by police, the residents had suffered a lot through the hands of camel herders, kaki told reporters. This is after the camel herders sought a permit from government agencies to pass on Mutha to Kajiado.
