Popular Kitui South MP Hon Dr Rachael Kaki Nyamai yesterday visited and condoled the families of the three deceased night guards who were murdered in a cold blood some days ago in Ikanga shopping center, local media said.
During her visit, the legislator took time and addressed the insecurity that has plagued the Ikanga market residents.
” Insecurity at Ikanga will be a thing of the past. I have set aside 3.5M for the Ikanga police administration block and police residential houses. This will go a long way in ensuring the security of my people here” said Kaki.
Meanwhile Kaki announced to the distraught Ikanga residents that she had already visited the office of CS Interior Matiang’i and asked for a police vehicle which will make their work easier for police patrols.
Hon. Kaki also held a brief meeting with Ikanga leaders on security matters before she proceeding to mourn with the family of the late Zachariah Nguu, a retired teacher of Kathungu location.
Lastly Hon. Kaki Nyamai visited mourners at Enzou village where an old friend of his father Francis Mweti has passed.
” We fully thank Hon Kaki profusely for crying and standing with her people during this trying moments. We welcome her roadmap towards solving insecurity around here” said Mumo Muli, mourners at Enzou Village speaking to COUNTY DIARY.
