Towering and popular Kitui South Member of Parliament Kaki Nyamai is in mourning after the untimely passing on of a fellow parliamentarian Hon paul Koinange.
Writing on her social media accounts, Dr. Kaki Nyamai said;
Dear friends. This morning I am so sad learn the death of my dear friend and colleague.
The people of Kitui South may recall the visit we made with the Hon: Koinange and security committee to Mutha Ward in the wake of insecurity posed by marauding camel herders who posed a security threat as bandits.
The late Koinange did so much to ensure that we now have some level of peace in the area, He did this in collaboration with the security team and the Ministry of Interior and Coordination.
Koinange Made Mutha it a personal commitment to ensure that no illegal settlements would continue in the game reserve and this made all the difference in guaranteeing security of our people. In less than a month we saw action as schools were opened and the camel herders were pushed further back to the cutline.
In Ukasi, Engamba and Nuu Wards in Mwingi Central, security was realized due to his efforts with area MP Hon Gideon Mulyungi.
Hon Koinange was a fine gentlemen and great leader. He encouraged dialogue, and as the chair of the sensitive Security Committee in the 12th Parliament, he worked with so many of us in so many ways.
In the 11th Parliment we served together in health committe.
Very sad indeed.
The People of Kitui South and particularly in Mutha will NEVER forget Koinange Contribution To Their Security – Mp Kaki added.
