The controversial EMBAKASI EAST Member of Parliament hon Babu Owino has been released
The Mp was released on Sh10m cash bail in case over shooting of DJ; Sh2.5m to be paid before he leaves Industrial Area Remand Prison.He has further being barred from taking alcohol & narcotics.
In a quite unusual bail ruling, Chief Magistrate Francis Andayi directed that the Ksh.10 million be paid in four installments of Ksh.2.5 million for the next four months.
The lawmaker will be released after paying the first installment of Ksh.2.5 million.
The Magistrate noted that the money will be used to settle the victim’s medical bill with the amount that remains unused serving as bail.
