Mps clash in parliament over the withdrawal of Security details guarding Vip as debate rages on.
There was a drama in Parliament on Thursday after Kitui East Member of Parliament Hon Nimrod Mbai who once served as a dedicated bodyguard to a Member of parliament explained the pain of Police officers who guard Vips.
Mp Mbai said he has been a bodyguard for a member of parliament in that house for a period of five years and he understands the pain the police officers go through while guarding important personalities.
Mbai said police officers who guard Mps go through a very hard time protecting Leaders who engage in unlawful picketing. As he was trying to explain the ordeal, he was shouted down by ODM Members of parliament who are currently engaging in anti- Government demonstrations.
ODM Mps claimed that their security had been withdrawn
It took the intervention of the National Assembly Speaker Hon Moses Wetangula to calm the house as he showers endless accolades on Mp Nimrod Mbai for being a good example that all dreams are valid.
“National Speaker Moses Wetangula saluted Mp Nimrod Mbai for Representing the voice of the Police officers who Guard VIps in the house”
Wetangula said the voice of police officers should be heard as he allowed Mp Mbai to continue uninterrupted, the TCD DIGITAL reports.
