Ministry Flag off 40 Tractors to Boost Production, As Ngilu, Reads Riot Act

The County Government of kitui Through the ministry of Water and agriculture on Thursday flagged off 40 tractors that will be assisting farmers in every ward.

The event was officiated by kitui Governor HE Charity Ngilu together with Minister of Water, Agriculture, and livestock Mr. Emanuel Kisangani, Mr. Katungi of coordination among other Senior Government officials, in the presence of hundreds of thousands of people who attended the function at bus park kitui town.

speaking during the event the Governor said each ward will have a tractor that will assist farmers to till their farms at a cost of 1000 ksh only

The Governor revealed the next financial year the county will procure another forty Tractors.

The Governor said the tractors will be managed by ward committees in every ward under the leadership of every sub-county administrations. each farmer will be required to pay one thousand shilling to have one acre tilled by the County government tractors, unlike other private tractors that plow at the rate of 2500 per acre.

The Governor reiterated her commitment to change the face of the people of Kitui who elected her and said she will not be distracted by clueless leaders who keeps yapping whenever she launch any project in kitui County.

The Governor said time is coming when these leaders who keep distracting her will be held responsible by the voters of kitui
