Education, ICT and Youth Development CECM Hon. Kyalo Watutu today escalated the inspection of Community Level Infrastructure Development Projects ( CLIDP) sites inspection across 6 Wards in Mwingi Sub-County.
The on-going escalated inspection of
Community Level Infrastructure Development Projects ( CLIDP) sites comes on the heels of a directive issued by Kitui County Governor H.E Kaluki Ngilu instructing all his officers to lead from the front and carry out the CLIDP sites inspection.
“The focus is on escalating the 5 pillars of Governor Ngilu’s Manifesto on Food and water, Better Healthcare, Education and Youth Empowerment, Women Empowerment and escalated wealth creation to uplift livelihoods” said Hon Watutu.
The Minister presided over the
handing over an ECDE class CLIDP project for Yumbe Primary School in Waita ward, Mwingi Central.
This team comprised of D/D Saleee, SCA Alex Mutemi and all Ward adminstrators and Village admins.
“The focus of the Governor H.E Kaluki Ngilu on escalating elementary education infrastructure across Kitui County is firmly anchored in her 5 pillars” said Watutu.
During the whirlwind inspection tour of CLIDP Projects, Hon Watutu inspected the following sites across the following Wards in Mwingi Central Sub-County including;
WAITA WARD: infrastructural upgrades and Road Culverts at Muunguu at Kwa Mutava, the chainlink fencing at Waita Health Centre, including a Site Handover at Muruana Primary School.
In KIVOU WARD, Hon Watutu inspected the already commissioned Road Opening at Kisama Village and Solar Power Installation at Kwa Mbusya borehole that serves to Kasevi Girls Secondary School.
In NGUNI WARD, the Minister inspected the Drilling and Casing of Mulinde Borehole.
While in NUU WARD, he inspected the Drilling and Casing at Kwa Kyoa Boreholebamong many others CLIDP Projects within the subcounty.
During the tour, the CECM also handed over site to the contractor at Mwingi Baptist Vocational Training Centre in Mwingi CENTRAL WARD for the roofing of a Twin Workshop at the site.
The Baptist Vocational Training is expected to train over 2,000 youths in various courses ostensibly to equip them for job markets, ratcheting up Governor Ngilu’s 5-Pillar Blueprint.
