Mama Pendo Surgery Success As Kenyans Give Ngilu Thump up 👍
Kenyans across the country have continued to sent their appreciation to Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu for saving Mama Pendo’s life.
Governor Ngilu, always a keen observer was travelling along the busy streets of Nairobi and had to bring her convoy to a grinding halt after spotting the needy lady who was pleading with Good Samaritans for help.
Mama Pendo had a protruding growth on her face that made people shudder just by looking at her.
The Governor, being a mother, who can take the place of all others but whose place no one else can take, swung straight into action.

And as the adage goes “love as powerful as your mother’s for you leaves its own mark, the Governor had to take Mama Pendo to hospital, using her own own money to save the the needy lady.
Back in Kitui, it took more than 8 hours of major surgery as doctors and surgeons worked meticulously to rectify and reconstruct Mama Pendo’s face.
“I am pleased to report that the maxillofacial operation done at Kitui Referral Hospital to correct the growth on Ms. Pendo Masonga’s face was a success! We thank God” Governor Ngilu told COUNTY DIARY.
Ms Pendo will now recuperate under close monitoring by the doctors as her face continues to heal under medication and naturally.
And as Mama Pendo healing process begins, hundreds of social media users praised the Governor for her benevolence and mercy.
“She did not look the other way but took the bull by the horns and assisted Mama Pendo. How many politicians pass through that street everyday and yet look the other way” posed one Mirriam on Facebook after Mama Pendo story became public.
“After recovery, the next phase will be to assist assimilate Ms Pendo back into society, this time around without the painful burden and stigma of the malignant tumour that was on her face” said Mama Ngilu.
