The political activities in Kitui Central Parliamentary race can be quite slow. This time, the candidates seem to have retreated or are perhaps to strategizing on how to overshadow each other as we enter the final stretch to the August 9 polls.
Meanwhile popular Kitui Central Jubilee Parliamentary Hopeful Henry Malonza seems to be eclipsing his competitors as the days go by.
Over the weekend, the politician was the Chief Guest in three functions as his nondescript competitors slept on the job.
“He is the only candidate moving around and hosting events in our locality. His competitors are nowhere to be seen, no one seems to be campaigning apart from jubilee Mp Candidate Malonza” said Mutuku Musili, a voter.

“Malonza is a cool guy, he is down to earth modern politician, and very effective in terms of grassroots mobilization. We will vote for him this time” added another.
As we speak, Malonza’s campaign strategy, magic and popular style of doing politics had left other candidates on the receiving end not speaking of his robust political network across the country.
He is giving the incumbent a run for his millions this election year.
