Former kitui Governor Dr Julius Makau Malombe has said he will lift the charcoal ban once he gets back to the office.
Speaking on Saturday when he was launching his manifesto, Dr Malombe said he was a direct beneficiary of the charcoal business because his parents paid his school fees using the charcoal labor.
Malombe said he will initiate a sustainable charcoal business policy and lift the ban which was imposed by governor Charity Ngilu in 2018 after she won the election.
