Governor Mutua Trashes Wiper Party Sponsor and Fixer
Machakos Governor and the self declared 2022 presidential hopeful Dr Alfred Nganga Mutua is does not shy away from controversy.
The former Government spokesman has once again scome out gun blazing and fired more salvos directed to the Wiper Democratic Movement party.
This time Mutua has directed his blazing guns to the party’s newly found sponsor and fixer who has been christened Mr Moneybags by the Fourth Estate.
Posting on his social media accounts, the Governor said it was a “SHAME TO BRIBE LEADERS TO ATTEND KALONZO MEETING LAST YEAR, saying the country needs A RADICAL SHIFT FOR THIS NEW DECADE.
The Machakos Governor Dr Alfred Mutua was speaking today on Saturday when he attended the celebration of the life of late Mama Monica Kavele Ndiku, mother of Ruth, and Cousin to Chris Mbithi’s wife.
The funeral of the 94 year old grandma was held in Mbukuni village in Kalama Ward.
Eulogizing the late, Mutua said that “She lived a good life and was a jovial and welcoming person. It is a pity that she did not live in a developed Kenya”
During the function, also attended by various leaders including area MCA, Hon. Paul Nyanzi and Hon. Margaret Ndalana, the Governor also shared with the congregation the need to preach peace, unity but more importantly, development.
He pointed out that it is a pity that leaders were recently bribed to attend a meeting at Hon. Kalonzo Musyoka’s farm in Yatta during the festive season, an event that was snubbed by ertswhile Kalonzo right hand man Muthama who has been on the warpath against the former VP.
“It is quite embarrassing that leaders, some drawing salaries and allowances of more than a million a month, were, according to media reports that have not been refuted, bribed with 100,000 shillings to 200,000 shillings to attend the function”
Instead of bribing leaders, those dishing out cash should undertake works that benefit struggling wananchi and not already comfortable people who are earning six figure salaries.
The money dished out could have been used to dig 30 water boreholes in Ukambani region, tarmac at least 15 Kilometers of roads, purchase over 800 boda bodas for youth or even feed 20,000 households for weeks.
We need leadership that focuses not just on the haves in the society but also on the ordinary struggling Wananchi. We need to reduce the gap between the rich and the poor, not widen it.
This is why, in mid February of this year, there will be a real Ukambani leaders meeting, so that our people can be freed from the politics of poverty and moved to the politics of prosperity.
Governors Charity Ngilu, Kivutha Kibwana and myself are committed to the economic and political freedom of our people. We are confident that together, we will empower and free our people from economic and political bondage, continued Mutua unabated.
This decade, starting with this year 2020, will be the decade of real change.
Dr. Alfred N. Mutua, E.G.H
