Yatta meeting for Kitui – I was not fortunate enough to attend the Yatta farm meeting in person as I was out of the country. But I was able to follow the proceedings keenly on social media.
It’s so wonderful to see how our Party Leader H.E continues to enjoy such a strong following from across the country.
And it’s even more wonderful to see how he has maintained the strong grip on Ukambani community as a whole. He is the unbwogable leader of Ukambani.
And as H.E finalises on his 2027 bid for the presidency, he will need everyone that attended Yatta prayer meeting. And more.
Senator Kiio said it very well. He called on all Kamba community leaders to follow Kalonzo Musyoka not only when he came to Yatta, but when he went elsewhere as well.
This is what Kalonzo Musyoka needs. He first needs to tap the financial and the political might of Ukambani.
The strong men and women of Ukambani must support him politically and financially so that he can have a chance to mount a presidential contest equal to what William Ruto will be having in 2027.
And Ruto is prepared.
He has put his friends and supporters in places of power and money so that by 2027 they will repay him both financially and technically.
Money, or lack of it means everything in a presidential campaign. A candidate with money power is able to move easily around the country. Such a candidate will have well facilitated campaign teams all with means to meet people and “take care of them” in the Kenyan way.
It’s no secret that a presidential candidate must have lots of financiers with almost unlimited supply of cash.
This is one of the reasons why Ruto made headway in 2022, and it will be something to watch out for in 2027. The Ruto of 2027 will have state machinery and tonnes of money at his disposal.
Which brings us to our Kingpin.The entire Kamba community community is not solidly behind Kalonzo Musyoka.
Financial and political heavyweights like Johnstone Muthama are already aligned to William Ruto.
The Yatta meeting was a good way to bring the community together. And it did. But we need more.
We need another Yatta meeting for Kitui. We need a Yatta meeting to put this Kitui house in order.
When contractors with pending bills are not happy, their support for Wiper reduces. And there are many such people languishing in Kitui.
When CLIDP projects are shared unfairly, it breeds anger against Malombe and his system, and in the end this affects Wiper.
When Speaker Kinengo destroys the integrity of Kitui County Assembly and reduces MCAs to mere puppets and paupers, what’s the future like for them in 2027?
When sand and charcoal cartels control the only resources which if properly managed could turn around the lives of Ukambani people, how do you expect these same people to support the system?
Ukambani is almost all for Wiper. With a Yatta meeting to solve these little problems, 2027 can deliver 99% to Wiper and Azimio.
We are at that point where we need the whole community. We can’t afford to cast anyone out at this point.
