Kanziku and Mutomo and Ikanga in Kitui i136 sub county for distribution of NGAAF grants to the beneficiaries
The National Government Affirmative Action Fund ( NGAAf) which falls under the Ministry of Public Service,Youth and Gender Affairs was enacted via Legal Notice Number 24 of Public Finance Management Act 2012 and was published on 13th Feb 2015.
The fund is governed by a Public Finance Management Act 2012 and Public Finance, the National Government Affirmative Action Development fund ) and Regulations 2016
The fund is a product of the constitution of 2010 in support of government commitment to putting in place measures to redress past disadvantaged among the certain segment of our population.
It is also anchored on Vision 2030 development blueprint under the social pillar to address the plight of the vulnerable groups through enhanced access to financial facilities for social economic empowerment among women, youth, PLWDs, needy children and elderly persons in the country. It also provides an avenue for promotion of small business and value addition initiatives.
The County MP toured Mutha Ward and held a meeting with the residents then proceeded to Kanziko town, Kanziko ward.
Dr. Irene Kasalu was in her 12th-day of distribution of Ngaaf grants across the county. She also toured Ikanga market and issued the cheques to beneficiaries.
She urged all parents to protect their girls from sex predators during this vacation and called for stern action against any culprits.
