Kitui to be Food Secure by 2021 – Ngilu


Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu is committed to fight hunger and guarantee food security to the residents of Kitui by all standard Agriculture CEC Kisangau has said.

The ministry are using a target based farming approach where the ministry target villages and task extension officers to help farmers achieve this the Minister in charge of Water, Agriculture and livestock Emmanuel Kisangau told the county diary reporters.

When the 2nd Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu came into power last year, the ministry have come up with a series of projects and initiatives which include; horticulture programmes, livestock programmes, pasture establishments and farmers profiling among others”_

Agriculture, Water and Livestock development CEC Emmanuel Kisangau affirmed the county government Commitment during a consultative meeting with Sub County Agriculture extension officers that was held recently at Agricultural training institute.
