KITUI-Governor Charity Ngilu’s visionary leadership of making Kitui a manufacturing county has already become a reality that is an envy by the other 46 counties.

Kitui County Textile Centre, the first ever garment factory to be set up by a county government has employed over 500 youth; direct and indirect.

The garment factory is in line with Governor Ngilu and President Uhuru’s wealth creation and manufacturing development agendas respectively.

The textile centre also attracted the making of uniforms for chiefs and their assistants in the National Government, a directive by President Uhuru.
