Kitui Stakeholders hold a Gender-Based Violence workshop

The gender-based violence cases among kitui Population has been a major concern with stakeholders raising the red flag.

The National Ministry of gender and social services together with other stakeholders held one day workshop in kitui town to aid in how to mainstream and slay the Dragon of gender-based violence ( GBV) within the society.

The forum was attended by the National Police Service, Prison department, Judiciary department, the Office of DPP, KNBS among other departments of concern, Response.

The team asked for the Establishment of a functional gender desk at the police station/ posts.

Called for the Escalated Investigation of GBVs cases, Arresting of the culprits or suspect of GBV.

The team also called for investigating agencies to speed up the process of collecting evidence from the survivors and Giving evidence to the court so that the sex vampires can be brought to the book.
