Kitui County host’s KICOSCA [Kenya Inter-Counties Sports And Cultural Association] Postmortem meeting from across the 47 Counties in Kenya
Kitui County Government through County Ministry of Tourism, Sports and Culture are currently hosting a postmortem meeting for Kenyan Counties Sports Association called KICOSCA to evaluate it’s annual KICOSCA festival event which was held in Kisii County last August 2018. KICOSCA is an _affiliate body to KENYA NATIONAL SPORTS COUNCIL [KNSC].
The meeting was officially opened by Kitui County Executive for Tourism, Sports and Culture Patrick Koki Musau and his Chief Officer Mr Zakayo G Kimanzi who were representing the Kitui County Governor H.E Hon Charity Kaluki Ngilu who is attending other County official matters.
The committee is set to deliberate on which County will host this year’s KICOSCA games in August and the Kitui CECM for Tourism, Sports and Culture requested the present committee members to give Kitui County the first priority to host this year’s event.
The over 120 delegation officers from an across all the 47 Counties that visited Kitui County comprises of CECM’s, Chief Officers, Directors and Sports Officers from County Departments of Sports and Senate Department of Sports.
The team will also have an excursion tour to Nzambani Rock, Kalundu Dam Eco-Park, Kitui Show Grounds as well as the famous Ikoo Valley in Mwingi West Sub-County.
The meeting is scheduled to run from today March 27th to Friday 29th 2019.
