Kitui south youth take part in Town cleaning , issue face face masks in mutomo.
The Mutomo Boda Boda society, the business community and it’s environs on Sunday received face masks and hand washing tanks to the help fight the COVID-19 pandemic from Kitui South young Professionals group, the COUNTY DIARY reports.
The group led by their chairman Benedict Kimeu Nzia on 2nd Aug 2020 led residents in cleaning of the town and sensitisation on ways to combat Covid 19. The team sought to create awareness that the community should not abandon the cleanliness of such a huge town to County Officials.
“A clean environment is a responsibility of all members of the public” Kimeu added.
Later the group distributed hand washing tanks to the he society, youthful business community members and the general public.
The event took place in Mutomo Town to add to the much needed help in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic in the rural parts of the County.
The exercise was aimed at sensitizing young people on the ways to wade off the deadly virus and adhering to the set-out MOH rules issued by the GoK.
The officials of the team have promised to offer more support and expand their coverage to other parts of the constituency. They will continue be rolling out of key activities and projects among the youth, Kimeu added.
