Business came to a standstill in Kitui Town yesterday September 16, as choppers ferrying formidable Maendeleo Chap Chap Kitui Senatorial aspirant Dr. Stephen Mutua Kilonzo, area parliamentary aspirant Henry Musyoka Kituti and other leaders touched ground during the send off ceremony of the late Edward Kiema Ndolo -a high ranking retired Kenya Police Officer.
Dr. Kilonzo urged the Senate to unlock the Revenue Sharing Formula stalemate to foster development at the counties. He reiterated that the continued standoff on the matter was stalling service delivery to the people countrywide.
“When elected the 3rd Senator of this county, i will always lobby the other senators for the good of the people, our county and the country at large.” He said.
Speaking at the ceremony, Hon. Kituti reaffirmed his bid for Kitui Central parliamentary seat in 2022. The renowned businessman and politician added that it was only through electing development conscious leaders like him and Dr. Kilonzo the people will realise tangible development.
