OPINION: There is a sweeping wind of Positive Change in Kitui County Department of Finance, the COUNTY DIARY REPORTS.

Congratulations to Kitui NEW finance Chief Officer for enforcing Erderman Campany at Mutwangombe in Mwingi Central to pay County Revenue cess for Gypsum.

The company has not been paying cess since 2011 up to 2020 according to Government finance records.

“Based on the Intervention by Newly CO finance assisted by Revenue department, the Team nabbed more than 10 vehicles at Ngutani Barrier carrying Gypsum Boards”.

The Management of the company has been summoned by the Finance office and have partially started paying cess fees as from today 3rd, Nov 2020.

The CO has cautioned all defaulters that they will be arrested and taken to court if they fail to comply as per the county Government finance act.

Further, kitui Revenue officers today clamped several vehicles which had not paid for parking fees in all major town centres.
