Kitui Mp Pleads with President Kenyatta Over abandoned 34Km of Road



Kitui Mp Hon Charles Nguna Pleads with President Kenyatta to tarmac the remaining 34 kilometres Kabati mbodoni Mwingi road, ask leaders to unity and lobby for the remaining section of the road.

When President Uhuru kenyatta took over the presidency and promised to tarmac kibwezi, Kitui Mwingi road, many people said the mission was impossible.

According to the contractor, The costly 18B Project is almost over, despite tarmacking of the Kibwezi-Kitui-Migwani road in Kitui county abruptly ended into a dead-end before reaching the Migwani market, Mwingi west.

Mwingi West Mp Hon Charles Nguna has called for the head of the state to order the completion of 34 kilometres before the commissioning of the mega Jubilee project.

He has also called for the Kamba leaders to Unity and lobby for the completion of the project.

“We need to unite as Ukambani leaders( Kitui, Makueni and Machakos ), to see through this project Kabati – mutonguni – migwani – Mbondoni, this is not a “two Constituencies affair” but a regional affair, any leader who’s not talking about it at the moment should not listen, siasa Kando ukambani kwanza we fight for the project”.

Only a combined effort will help.
Governor Ngilu talked about unity!! It will be a shame for this project to end in the middle of a thicket bush. Mp Nguna wrote in popular County online WhatsApp group Dubbed, Kitui Professional chat, an online forum for who is who in Kitui.

The road will have a positive economic impact not only in Kitui but the entire region.
