Kitui: Malombe Leads Stakeholders In Presenting Views To The Presidential CBC taskforce

On Monday, November 7, 2022 – The Presidential Education Reforms Taskforce team held its sitting in Kitui School for the engagement forum with stakeholders.

The team in Kitui led by Dr. Halima Saado seeks to collect views and evaluate the Education system to come up with recommendations, key among them an appropriate structure to implement the Competency Based Curriculum (CBC).

The engagement forums will be conducted across the 47 counties from 8 am to 10 am from November 1 before concluding on Friday, November 11.

The Working Party on Education Reform will work for a six-month period and will be required to submit to the president a progress report every two months from the date of their appointment.

Kitui Governor Dr Julius Malombe is attending the engagement forum at Kitui School.

KNUT secretary Mr Simon Ndingo attended presented the union Memorandum.

“We must explore ways of cooperating with the national government to effectively deliver as envisaged in the constitution. We must ensure we better the education sector in this county”. Governor Dr Julius Malombe addressing the education reforms forum at Kitui School today.
