In swift rejoinder the Kitui Minority leader hon Alex Nganga fired back.
“I don’t know what the Majority Leader is talking about as there is no official communication yet from the Governor to the County Assembly on this appointment. When it comes am sure his concerns will be addressed. Unless he wants to say as his Party Leader would that the name Chepchieng betrays him.
It is important to note section 44 of the County Government Act vests the powers to nominate and appoint a County Secretary on the Governor.
Joshua Chepchieng is an experienced Administrator and a Man any County would appreciate his service Hon. Alex Nganga, Kitui County Assembly Minority Leader added.
