Pomp and colour is expected as The Jordan Hospital in partnership with Smile Train are set to hold a milestone celebration fete to mark a record medical achievement.
Over 500 Plus cleft lip/ palate surgeries have been carried out at Kitui Jordan Hospital, The COUNTY DIARY reports.
The auspicious event will be marked on the 23rd of April 2022 at Jordan Hospital, Kitui town, organizers said.
The celebrations that will feature medics, consultants and invited guests will be led by Kenya’s Distinguished Urological Surgeon Dr Joshua Matu.
A cleft palate usually is repaired with surgery called palatoplasty. The goals of palatoplasty are to: Close the opening between the nose and mouth, this help create a palate that works well for speech, said a statement posted on their website.
