The Kitui CEC incharge of Health and Sanitation Dr Winnie Kitetu today opened a stakeholders meeting on Covid19 vaccine outreach campaign.
Addressing the stakeholders drawn from different parts of the county, the CEC thanked all health workers for their dedication towards this campaign.
She further urged the vaccine administrators to notify members of the public who receive the jab one may feel unusual body reaction as a result of the vaccine.
” i want to urge my health officers administering the vaccine, to inform members of the public receiving the Jab, that one may feel unusual feeling like headache,nausea and uneasy, which can relieved by taking painkiller”, said Kitetu.
The Kitui County Commissioner Thomas Tankei on his part, assured the stakeholders that his office will work with the ministry as a team to ensure the president’s directive is attained.”.
Waziri i want to assure you that my office will work hand in hand with your officers to ensure that the target number is achieved within the stated timeframe as directed by the president” said Tankei.
The commissioner also urged Kitui residents to take advantage of this outreach campaign to be vaccinated.
The stakeholders present during the meeting at Kitui Multipurpose, included Global Implementation Solution, Red Cross,CMMB, Religious community, Boda Boda team among others.
