The County Government of kitui, via kitui county textile Center “KICOTEC” is among local industries which have been commissioned by the National Government to produce PPEs, as Fight against covid 19 pandemic continues to take shape. the COUNTY DIARY reports.

The Governor On Thursday had an opportunity to present samples of Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) and staff uniforms made at Kitui County Textile Centre (KICOTEC) for the Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) to Chief Executive Officer Dr. Evanson Kamuri together with the Kenya Medical Supplies Authority (KEMSA) Chief Excecutive Officer Dr. Jonah Manjari.

Dr. Evanson Kamuri had the opportunity to fit on a sample uniform made for his staff from Kitui county textile centre popularly known as KICOTEC.

At KICOTEC we are doing everything we can to produce the necessary gear for our medical personnel who are on the frontline fighting for us and the nation especially during this CORONA VIRUS pandemic, kitui Governor Charity Kaluki Ngilu wrote on her social media accounts.
