Kitui Gov Ngilu Makes Changes to her Cabinet ahead of 2022 Election


    Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu has announced changes in her cabinet ahead of the August General election.

    The move is expected to enhance service delivery in readiness for the August 2022 polls.

    Among those affected by the changes include the Chief Officer in charge of economic planning Mr Enoch Nguthu who was moved to the Ministry of livestock in the same capacity.

    The assistant director for planning and economics Mr Kimwele has been promoted as Chief Officer in the same Ministry in an acting capacity.

    Mr Eng James Songolo has been deployed to the office of the Governor as CO, he will be in charge of the governor’s daily operations.

    Mr James Songolo formed exemplary well during his tenure as Chief Officer for Agriculture and livestock, many people have interpreted his latest appointment as a reward for his exemplary work.

    He is also vying for the Mwingi West Parliamentary seat in the coming election.

    Mr GK Zakayo remains the Chief Officer in the Office of the Governor as usual.
