Kitui former CEM Sue Governor for unlawful dismissal

The former Executive Member for the environment and natural resources Hon John Makau has sued Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu and the County Government of Kitui for what he termed unlawful dismissal from employment.

On 17th February, Makau moved to court under certificate of urgency, seeking interim orders barring the Governor from filing the vacancy created by the dismissal of Mr Makau. According to lawyer Ochieng Oginga, LADY justice Maureen Onyango heard the application in the first instance and directed that the status quo be maintained pending the hearing of the application in the presence of all the parties.
