Kitui Empowerment Funds – Ngilu Holds Meeting with Cabinet

On Friday 4th June 2021 – Kitui Governor Charity Kaluki Ngilu chaired the senior county management team of the county.

The 7:00 AM meeting is discussing the enrolment of the Empowerment Fund that is going to be launched soon to Empowerment women in the county.

The roll-out of the Kitui Empowerment Fund is at an advanced stage as governor Ngilu looks to empower vulnerable groups that include, women, youth, and disabled persons across Kitui County

The Ministry of Trade has been asked to come up with names of all the groups that will benefit from the fund.

The meeting also looked at overview projects and programs in the county and how they are impacting the lives of the communities.

The County Management team will also be monitoring all county projects from next week to evaluate the impact and also the areas of improvement.

Lastly, the Ministry of Health has been tasked to come up with the possible guidelines for universal health care.

The guidelines will inform the National Health Insurance Fund registration in the county as well as the necessary budgetary allocations in the next financial year budget
