Kitui Deputy Gov. Wathe attends Mwingi Function, Rejects Flawed BBI

    On Wednesday, 9th Dec, 2020 – Kitui Deputy Governor Dr Wathe Nzau said he will not be supporting flawed Building Bridges initiative unless the recommendation by Kitui people are considered in the final report.

    He was speaking when he attended the event donkey husbandry event at Musila Garden grounds in Mwingi town, where he was representing H.E Governor Charity Ngilu as the Chief Guest in launching a Conventional forum on Donkey husbandry.

    “In Kitui County and Ukambani at large, Donkey transport is very key and critical, therefore, we must protect their health by feeding them well and making sure they get the right treatment whenever they fall sick”.

    The event which was attended by both National and County Government officers, was organized by Caritus Kitui in Partnership with Brook East Africa and Kitui County Government.

    During that function, hundreds of donkeys were examined and treated by Veterinary officers for free.
