Kitui County to benefit from National Treasury financial management and reporting programs, In adherence to transparent financial management and standard financial reporting as enshrined in Article 226 of the Constitution of Kenya 2010, the National Treasury has identified Kitui County as one of the priority counties to benefit from technical assistance in reconciliation of financial statements to *IFMIS* and resolving of audit issues by the National Treasury.

Relative to the above, Kitui County was picked because of the county’s continued commitment and setting the right tone at the top on financial reporting and progress achieved in posting of transactions in receipts and payments via IFMIS.

The National Treasury intents to work hand in hand with the County Executive, County Assembly and all other County Government entities (funds, projects etc) officers during *2018/2019 Financial Year* to provide technical assistance in fully reconciling the county’s financial statements to IFMIS.
