The County Government of Kitui has entered into a landmark partnership with Tiva Secondary School’s Board of Management that will see Kenya Utalii College and the Africa Inland Church (AIC-K) set up major facilities on the school’s land.
Governor Dr. Julius Malombe, who presided over the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), said the agreement paves the way for the establishment of a Kenya Utalii College training center and an AIC Mission Hospital to serve the local community.
He noted that the collaboration builds on a partnership initiated in 2014, which has already delivered a modern multipurpose hall to the school, with a borehole now underway. “We are not just building physical structures, we are investing in dignity, in opportunity and in empowerment of our youth,” said the governor.
The facility is expected to open new opportunities for advanced training in tourism and hospitality, while also improving access to quality healthcare for residents.
The signing ceremony was witnessed by AIC clergy led by Area Bishop Joseph Muendo, Tiva Secondary BOM Chair Justus Mukiti Manandu, and members of the Kitui County Executive.
