Despite all odds, The County Government of Kitui continues to impact and improve the people’s livelihoods.
This was revealed in Kiini Primary School during a site inspection tour of an ECDE classroom built using Inter-Locking bricks technology, all this made locally at the Kitui County Youth Skills Development Centre, KICOYDEC in Manyenyoni.
During the tour, Governor Ngilu retreated the economic importance of ensuring all building material are sourced locally.
“We have technology and equipment to make interlocking bricks, cabro blocks, ballast and hard stones…. we should ensure we source these items locally to empower our own children and our efforts. Let’s keep money rotation within Kitui.”
Further, she pledged her support in ensuring that youth in Kitui County are trained with skills that will impact their lives forever.
The County Government of Kitui under the leadership of Governor Charity Ngilu has made deliberate efforts in impacting lives of youth, through training and capacity building. This is in line with Governor Charity Ngilu’s 5 Pillar Manifesto.
