Kitui County Govt and FORD Foundation Target Marginalised Groups For Capacity Building

Marginalised groups in Kitui County yesterday benefited from a forum undertaken by the FORD Foundation aimed at equiping them information on the process of the county budget-making and other civic advocacy programs.

The capacity building symposium undertaken in partnership with the County Government of Kitui took place at Kuul Breeze hotel in Migwani, Mwingi West.

Among the county government officers leading the programs are Erastus Kombulu,CBEF(Kitui County Budget and Economic Forum)youth representative.

The project is coordinated by Hon Peter Mutemi, Kitui County Director for Public Participation and Civic Engagement, and fold foundation officials.

The training is purely on enhancing capacity on public participation in budget formulation, approval, and implementation, The three special groups in focus are: Youths, Women, and Persons Living with disabilities, the forum are in its second week running in Mwingi west.
