The Kitui County Executive Committee Member for Public Service Management and Administration in the Office of the Governor Ben Katungi on Tuesday morning officiated the flagging off water rigs ahead of the water works at Ngungi and Kathande-Mangola Water Projects, in Zombe Ward.
The CECM was accompanied by the Chief Officer for Water Kioko Kiilu and other officials from the Ministry,The County is undertaking water repairs and drilling to curb water challenges through eased access to water sources.Water provision is the first pillar of Governor Charity Ngilu’s development plan.
Member in charge of Public Service Management and Administration in the Office of the Governor Ben Katungi on the same day toured Kathande and Mangola Village, in Zombe Ward in kitui East.
The Minister was co cordinating County Officers who were assisting in transporting bulding materials for Kathande-Mangola Water Tank Project by the county government.
The construction is sponsored by the County Government of Kitui in partnership with AMREF Kenya and Kathande -Mangola Community Members.
The CECM was accompanied by Chief Officer for Water Kioko Kiilu top county officers among local leaders,Water provision is the first pillar of Governor Charity Ngilu’s development plan.
The minister reiterated the county government commitment to serve the people of kitui regardless of their political affiliation.
