BREAKING NEWS: The County Assembly of Kitui has this afternoon approved the county budget estimates for the financial year 2020/21 after series of controversies during the budget Making process that led to Kitui workers experience salary delays.
It was a win win budget for the people of Kitui where Kicotec was allocated money, ECDES classes for every ward, and 75 kilometres for road grading in every ward among others.
It was a Joy for Kitui residents as Assembly APPROVED 2020/2021 BUDGET.
The Budget Committee led by Tseikuru MCA HON Kilaa presented to the Assembly the report on Governor’s Memorandum concerning the Budget. After taking the Assembly through the Contents of the Report ,The County Assembly unanimously agreed to pass and approve the Budget.
It’s expected that The GOVERNOR, H.E Charity Ngilu will assent to the Appropriation Bill paving way for the CONTROLLER OF BUDGET and Director of IFMIS to receive their copies and give consent for uploading the same to the IFMIS.
The county workers are expected to get their salary in the next few days, after missing their salary and wages for the last three month.
