Kitui County Attorney Ms Carol Musango was among top ranking county government officials who led the distribution of Pro-poor bursaries in Kitui South, local media reported.
The County Government of Kitui, under the astute leadership of HE Governor Charity Ngilu is currently distributing over Ksh 1 Million worth of bursaries to each of the 40 Wards across the vast semi-arid county.
The move is geared towards propping up the academic future of bright and needy students across the vast county, the Governor has said.

At the venue, deaf students belted a song in gratitude to Her Excellency Governor Ngilu for considering them.
The principal of the school said the Bursaries were timely and well coordinated terming the excercise as noble.
