Kitui County Assembly to Relocate



Kitui County Assembly To Move It’s Sittings To Mwingi Town To Facilitate Construction Of A New Office Block At The County Assembly-

Kitui County Assembly has approved a budget of Ksh 11 million to renovate defunct Mwingi County Council building where the County Assembly is scheduled to relocate its’s remaining sittings to pave way for construction of a new office block in Kitui County Assembly main offices.

The amendment motion had been proposed by Mbitini Ward MCA Hon Nicholus Mwalali who called upon the House to revise the initial Budget and Appropriations Committee decision and was seconded by Township Ward MCA Hon. Antony Ndoo.

Kisasi MCA Hon Emeritus Kasee, MCA Kilaa Kasina was among member of County Assembly who rejected the motion stating that there were better priorities the Assembly could focus on with only two months to go before the house adjourns and termed the move as a waste of taxes payers money.
