Monday September 18, 2023 – the County Assembly held its special sitting convened pursuant to Standing Order No. 26 vide Gazette Notice No. 12544 dated Friday 15th September, 2023.
the Speaker Hon. Kevin Kinengo Katisya in his communication, notified the House that his office received the Kitui County Supplementary Budget 1 Estimates for FY 2023/2024 from the County Executive Committee Member for the Ministry of Finance, Economic Planning and Revenue Management. The Speaker committed the Supplementary Budget 1 Estimates to the County Assembly Committee on Budget and Appropriations for consideration.
At the same time, the Speaker notified the House that Pursuant to the provisions of Section 6(1) of the Public Appointments (County Assemblies Approval) Act, 2017, his office received the list of nominees to Mwingi Municipality Board from H.E the Governor.
The Speaker committed the same list to the County Assembly Committee on Appointments, pursuant to Section 7(1) of the Public Appointments (County Assemblies Approval) Act, 2017 as read together with Standing Order No. 184 for consideration.
The County Supplementary Budget 1 is an integral part of the budgetary process in a county. It is a document that outlines any additional funding required by the county government to meet the needs and demands of its citizens.
