The County Assembly of kitui reopened its sittings at 2:30pm on tuesday afternoon, this being the Third Session after the 2017 General Elections.
The reopening was officiated by the Deputy speaker who is also the kisasi ward member of county assembly Hon emarustus Kasee Musya.
The speaker while welcoming the Members of county assembly encouraged them to excute their Madate with outmost integrity and deligence.
I would also wish to challenge the honourable house to generate new ideas and innovation as we execute our legislative madate, We shall be judged by the number of Bills, Motions ,regulations, petitions,statements delibarated and passed during the session kasee said.
We have been given opportunity by the people of Kitui not because we were better than our competitors and i believe we have what it takes to deliver, I there fore urge us all to brace for ringorous legislative process which lies ahead of us. Kasee added.
The assembly house had a total of 44 motion before going to long recess among them:
1,Motion on adoption of the report by the committee on finance and planning on consideration of the Kitui county Integrated development pls popular known as CIDPS 2018-2022
2.Motion on regulation and management of the street trade or hawking and boda boda operators in Kitui and Mwingi towns
3.Motion on Kitui county access road development program.
4 Motion on adoption of the report by the committee on land , infrastructure and urban development
5.Kitui climate change fund regulation 2018
The number of statement were requested during the period which includes
1.The statement on the status of Kitui county executive committee member for health and sanitation.
2.Statement on kitui community mobilization representatives
3.Statement on the water pipeline extension from Muutini secondary borehole to kwa nicholas Nzali kauwi ward.
4.Statement on Kitui county health Insurance cover KCHIC
5.The statement on the impact of ndengu production and farming tractors in the county.
The speaker while opening the house this is what he said ”
I take this opportunity to commend the members of the county assembly for your outstanding performance this far, our out put has grown impressively. we look forward to do more to our people.
