KITUI ASSEMBLY REJECTS NGILU’S KCPSB NOMINEES AS RESIDENTS CURSE MCAS

The motion on adoption of the report by the Assembly Committee on Appointments on the vetting and consideration of nominees to the Kitui County Public Service Board (KCPSB) has been approved with amendments.

The motion mover was the Majority Leader, Hon. Peter Kilonzo. It was seconded by Hon Jacob Kavolonza (Mui Ward).

The report had initially recommended for the rejection of the Chairperson, Francis Muinde Kiliku and two nominees, Joseph Kyavoa and David Munyao and had recommended for approval of the nomination of three other nominees, Esther Kasyoka Muthui, Jane Mwende Kimuyu Kibati and Benard Mwendwa Munyasya.

However, an amendment motion to ACCEPT all the members as moved by Hon Nicholas Mwalali (Mbitini Ward) and seconded by Hon. David Masaku (Mutomo Ward) was defeated by majority votes, with 32 voting against and 17 voting for the amendment.

A second amendment to the motion as moved by Hon. Stephen Musili (Kyuso Ward) and seconded by Hon. Waziri Bakari (Nominated MCA) REJECTING all nominees to the Kitui County Public Service Board was approved by majority of members in the sitting.

This therefore means that ALL NOMINEES as submitted by H.E the Governor on 14th February, 2020 were REJECTED by the Assembly tonight.

The Angry residents took to the social media to express their disappointment with MCA’s saying, history will judge them harshly.
