Kitui Governor Madam Charity Ngilu and the county assembly have finally agreed to bury the hatchet and work together in unison, following recently clashed on budgetary allocations.
The battleground emanated from mistrust and differences on resource allocation and general management of public affairs in the county, setting the governor into collision course against the majority Wiper Party mcas
Their differences escalated further after two Mombasa eating bonanza fete was canceled at the Eleven hours by the executive last year.

The MCAs led by Majority Leader Peter Kilonzo had warned that the county government could be headed for a political tempest unless a middle ground was reached between the executive and ward reps.
Last Friday, Ngilu held a meeting in Machakos with the ward reps led by Speaker George Ndotto, Deputy Governor Wathe Nzau, county secretary Alex Kimanzi and a host of executive members where a raft of contentious issues was discussed and agreed upon.
“Although there was no official statement issued after the meeting, an insider confided to The county diary blog informed our reporters that it was a fruitful deliberation and that further meetings would be held to iron out the remaining outstanding issues.
Kitui county assembly speaker hon Mutua Ndotto had been accused of orchestrating the Governor woes. the allegation he denied. It is expected that since the two arms of the government have agreed to work in unison, the agenda of the government will be achieved
