Public participation sessions on the Kitui County Annual Development Plan 2023/2024 continued at Mwingi Resource Centre for Mwingi Central and Mwingi West Sub- Counties and in Kyuso Market Shed for Mwingi North Sub- County.
This is in fulfilment of Article196 (1)(b) of the Constitution of Kenya 2010.While addressing the public who attended today’s exercise at Kyuso market, Hon. Muthengi Ndagara (MCA Tharaka Ward) lauded them for turning up in large numbers.He further assured them that their views will be incorporated in the Committee final report.
On his part, Hon. Munyoki Mwinzi (MCA Kyuso Ward) and Chairperson Committee on Finance and Planning affirmed that the Assembly is committed to ensuring that the public is involved in planning and development matters in the County.
The County Assembly Committee on Finance and Planning is mandated by the Standing Orders to take into account the views and recommendations from the public in its final report.
